The God's eye can be traced back to the Americas in the 1500s. The spanish orignally named them, "Ojo De Dios" when they first encountered Native American groups that had created them. One of these Native groups, the Huichol of Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico, created God's Eyes as a symbol of protection. It serves as a watchful eye over a person, protecting them. 

 

These God's Eye talisman are available in all different types of colors. The smaller 30"x30" are weaved with intention.
